Search and Rescue in Iceland

The Icelandic Association for Search and Rescue, otherwise known at ICE-SAR, are an independent organisation made up of an active membership of around 4000 volunteers. Founded in 1918 ICE-SAR has saved countless lives in Iceland, in 2017 alone responding to over 1000 call outs.
Jonas Bendiksen travelled to Reykjavík to photograph a team of ICE-SAR volunteers on a practice run.
